OYSO is an online survey that asks teens about their opinions and behaviors regarding alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, and other drug use. If you have been invited to participate in the survey by mail, you will need your user-specific token to access the survey. This survey is only available to take online.
Market Decisions Research, also known as MDR, is an independent public health research company located in Portland, Maine, helping the Oregon Health Authority administer this survey. The Oregon Health Authority often uses independent contractors to assist with survey administration because they have content and methodology expertise that can improve a survey.
Your household was randomly selected from all Oregon residents, with at least one youth living in their household. This survey should be completed by one teenager between the ages of 15 and 18 within your household.
Combined answers from all respondents will create results that help the Oregon Health Authority understand the needs of teens in Oregon and create policies that will benefit youth.
Answers provided are strictly confidential and never combined with any personally identifying information.
There is minimal risk to participating in the survey. Some individuals might feel uncomfortable answering specific questions. However, participants can skip any question they do not feel comfortable answering.
If you have any additional questions, concerns, or comments, please contact the project manager,
